20 years after its debut, the fourth generation of the Audi A6 allroad quattro is being launched. With the standard all-wheel drive, adaptive air suspension and increased ground clearance, it is just as much at home on the road as it is off. The powerful V6 TDI engines (Combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 6.6 – 5.8*; Combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 172 – 152*) offer ample pulling power for up to 2.5 tons of towing capacity. Thanks to its distinctive look and even more customized equipment options than the predecessor, the A6 allroad quattro appeals to customers that appreciate the combination of powerful design, extraordinary versatility and high comfort.

Audi takes e-commerce to the next level. Beginning June 5, 2019, consumers will be able to purchase new cars directly online. The first model to be sold exclusively over this sales channel is the Audi TT Quantum Gray Edition*. Customers can also inquire digitally and without obligation about leasing or financing and have the exclusively equipped, limited-edition model delivered anywhere in Germany. Audi dealerships are an important element of this initial pilot project for online direct sales.

Audi is introducing the vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) service “Traffic Light Information” to Europe. From July Audi will network new models with the traffic lights in Ingolstadt/Germany; further European cities will follow from 2020 onwards. Then cars will be more likely to catch a “green wave” in the city: Audi drivers will see in the cockpit what speed is required to reach the next traffic light on green. If that is not possible within the permitted speed limit, there will be a countdown to the next green phase. Driving in cities will thus become more relaxed and efficient. In the USA, Audi customers have already been using this service since late 2016. Audi is the first manufacturer worldwide to network its series-production models with traffic lights in cities.

The Audi Q5 55 TFSI e quattro with 270 kW (367 hp) system output (combined fuel consumption: 2.4 – 2.1 l/100 km*; combined CO2 emissions: 53 – 46 g/km*) is the first of the new plug-in models from Audi. The drive concept comprises a combustion engine and an electric motor with intelligent controller, enabling it to cover most everyday driving distances electrically. The WLTP all-electric range is more than 40 kilometers (25.9 mi). With the E license plate under the German Electric Mobility Act, owners also enjoy tax advantages and municipal traffic privileges.

Audi is celebrating a major production anniversary in the premium mid size segment: 25 years ago, the first Audi A4 drove off the assembly line in Ingolstadt. Since then, the brand with the Four Rings has produced more than 7.5 million units of the model. A quarter of a century after its birth, demand is unabated for the Audi A4, now in its fifth generation. With 344,586 units sold in 2018, the A4 is the world’s most popular model of the Four Rings. Approximately every fifth Audi delivered worldwide today comes from this series.
